This degree course aims to provide a comprehensive basis of knowledge in the construction sector, as well as the application of latest technologies using computer based methods and software. With this knowledge and these skills, you will be able to specialise in almost any area of your future profession; in construction companies, engineering offices as well as in administration. Of course, all issues concerning technical environmental protection are taken into consideration. Key skills are taught in problem areas such as noise control, drinking water supplies and waste water treatment, the reduction of CO2 emissions using the proper selection of materials and energy efficient enhancements, and the removal of disused hazardous sites.

Civil engineers are responsible for the whole life cycle of a building, from the basic evaluation in the planning stage, to the ecological decommissioning at the end of its planned life span.

The course normally lasts 7 semesters and ends with a Bachelor thesis. During the internship semester, students are able to gain real life industry experience working for professional companies. Successful graduates, can specialise in almost any field of related employment.
