Many technical devices, including cars and planes, are controlled by so-called "integrated computer systems" i.e. systems built inside devices, which ensure they run smoothly. Therefore, graduates of Applied Computer Science have great professional prospects and career opportunities ahead of them, either working in industry or in science based jobs.

The degree course Applied Computer Science, teaches the necessary skills needed to design embedded systems, to programme applications for mobile devices (e.g. smart phones, tablets) and to process navigation, positioning and sensor data applications (GPS, Galileo, RFID etc..).

The course is 3 and a half years long and includes one internship semester working in a company/industry. Due to the way the course is structured , flexible and individualised study is possible; students can choose from a wide range of courses in many different fields of study.
