The curriculum of Media Technology includes seven semesters, which includes a 20 week internship. A pre-study internship and internships during the semester holidays are not mandatory, but are highly recommended as early as possible to gain insight into your future career.

The curriculum is very broad in the sense that it consists of five semesters of lectures and an internship semester which must also be completed by graduates of the BOS and FOS. In the seventh semester the thesis is prepared which is performed usually in a media organization or a media company or can also be created in the well-equipped laboratories of the university.

In the third semester, one of the two majors “media design" or "media informatics" are chosen, so that the training is more engrossed in either production technology or computer science.

In addition to the internship, practical skills are further intensified in manageable project groups through case studies, projects and exercises.

Over the seven semesters, two general electives and a subject-specific option must be taken.

A theoretical study semester, the internship or thesis can be completed abroad.

With the successful completion of the final examinations and the final thesis, the academic title "Bachelor of Engineering, Media Technology " is awarded by the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.
