Language courses & study options

  • Academic counselling and answers to all questions concerning application documents and other requirements for regular and exchange students. DIT offers a large variety of courses, with both with English and German as the language of instruction.
  • Preparation Semester for refugees
    - Orientation Week for foreign students, 01 March - 14 March 2017
    - German language courses starting at B2 level
    - English language courses
    - Courses in English or German available for various study programmes.
  • Participation in our "Welcome@DIT - feeling at home" programme (involving academic support & cultural events)

  • Help with finding a job or internship through our Career Service
  • Development of key skills

The Welcome @ DIT program is a student initiative aimed towards all refugees and asylum seekers studying at our university.

Programme Offerings

  • German students help refugee students integrate into German culture and student life through regular meetings
  • Schedule of events and excursions


  • Get to know the German culture, especially Bavarian culture
  • Support with everyday student life
  • Guidance in regard to life in Germany, specifically in Deggendorf
  • Assistance in learning the German language
