Protection for Industrial Technologies

ProtectIT is an inter-faculty institute of the DIT conducting application-oriented research on the protection of:

  • industrial automation technology,
  • critical infrastructures
  • automotive and avionic systems
  • IoT-devices

Special focus is placed on the development and implementation of mechanisms for the proctection of networked embedded systems. Target-oriented cyber attacks, malware but also faulty configuration and anomalies endanger embedded IT and IoT systems. The manipulation of technical processes of machines and facilities can lead to production downtimes, as well as the disturbance of critical infrastructures interfused by IT technology leadig to a giant hazard to life and limb. Together with our industrial and academic partners, we create practical solutions.

  • Master Cyber Security, Automotive IT Security, M.Eng.
  • Master Cyber Security, Industrial IT Security, M.Eng.
