The Centre for Applied Research was founded with the goal of strengthening research at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and promoting applied knowledge and technology transfer.
It is is a service-based organisation which coordinates applied research and development activities as well as knowledge transfer. It focuses the application-orientated research expertise of DIT and, with the Knowledge and Technology Transfer and the Graduate Mentoring Unit, it serves as a central contact point for:
- Small and medium-sized business as well as Non-Profit Organisations in the region who require know-how and advanced knowledge
- The scholars and researching professors of the DIT and its eight Technology Campuses
- Excellent graduates of the DIT, to facilitate them in pursuing a Ph.D
The Centre for Applied Research at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology can be described as an intermediary between the University, the economy and communities. It acts as a bridge between research and the interests and needs of industry.
