Ask your Questions to our Student Ambassador mehrad

Hi, I’m Mehrad, 27 years old and a Mechanical Engineering master’s student in my 4th semester.

Do you have any questions about student life and the Master Mechanical engineering programme? I would be happy to share my experience with you and give you an insight into life as a DIT student. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Why did I choose this study programme?

I decided to pursue a master’s degree in mechanical engineering due to its comprehensive and versatile nature. The program's curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including Mathematics, Numerical methods, FEM, CAD/CAM, Fluid and Thermodynamics, which provides a strong foundation for a variety of career paths. Additionally, the programme offers opportunities to specialize in areas of personal interest through the completion of a master's thesis, allowing me to develop my skills and knowledge further. Overall, I believe this program will equip me with the necessary tools to succeed in the diverse and exciting field of Mechanical Engineering.

Which preparation is required for this programme?

This program requires a good knowledge in Mathematics, analytical skills, basic programming knowledge, and engineering applications. For international students, a good level of German language proficiency in the Engineering field is also necessary.

What I particularly like about my course of studies:

As a professional mechanical engineer, I appreciate the programme's approach of connecting courses, enabling us to learn all requirements concurrently while analysing mechanical problems from different perspectives of mechanical and mathematical sciences.

Why study at DIT?
