Events to connect digital start- ups with SMEs & PSEs
The service "Events to connect digital start-ups with large & SMEs" is offered by the Bavarian AI Agency and aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem of the Eastern Bavarian region by activating and networking stakeholders from business and administration. A particular focus here is on the visibility of digital start-ups in order to support them in their search for their first customers as well as SMEs in their search for solution implementations. As part of this offer, events are organized and held that build a bridge between different interest groups. These events take place on site or online, as required.
The target group of this task includes a wide range of stakeholders in the regional innovation ecosystem, including start-ups, companies of various sectors and sizes and public institutions. The aim is to promote digital transformation in order to strengthen the regional economy and increase competitiveness. Particularly in the rural regions of Eastern Bavaria, this networking is intended to promote innovative strength and a lively start-up culture and support cooperation between companies, start-ups and public institutions.
Service Example
One successful example of the success of this offering is the “ChatGPT for public administration” event, for which a young start-up founder was invited to speak.
Over 50 employees took part in the online event, including numerous decision-makers, particularly from public institutions. The aim of the event was to provide a basic understanding of the use of generative language models in the day-to-day work of public administrations. The speaker first gave an overview of the development stages of artificial intelligence as well as insights into data protection and the ethical use of these new technologies. He then demonstrated some functions of ChatGPT in a live tutorial using use cases for the target audience, e.g. the automated classification and answering of standardized e-mail processes. The content was put into concrete terms using the example of a large Bavarian city administration, in whose processes a specially programmed AI application has already been implemented.
The feedback during and after the event was characterized by great interest and was exclusively positive: the target group had little to no prior knowledge of the use of AI applications in everyday working life. As a result, the speaker, who also answered many specific questions, was able to create real added value during the event.
The event enabled us to offer some employees and decision-makers in public administration new impetus and insights into digitalization and thus a more efficient organization of their day-to-day work.
