Ask your Questions to our Student Ambassador Grigor Chakmishyan

Hi, I’m Grigor, 29 years old and a master’s student in my 3rd semester.

Do you have any questions about student life and the Master of Digital Health programme? I would be happy to share my experience with you and give you an insight into life as a DIT student. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Why did I choose this study programme?

Well, I opted for the M.Sc. in Digital Health because it perfectly aligns with my evolving career and personal goals. Starting as an M.D., I delved into Human Biology and Immunology. Shifting into Pharmacovigilance, I gained valuable pharmaceutical industry experience. However, my true passion lies in enhancing healthcare by merging complex biological and psychological aspects with transformative technologies.

This program combines Medical Sciences and Information/Communication Technologies, focusing on "Smartification," Digitalization, and crucial ethical and security dimensions, which was an ideal fit. I aim to stand at the intersection of Biological and Cybernetic fields, tackling vital challenges. The interdisciplinary academic setup, multicultural network, and learning from global experts in a foreign language deeply inspired me. I anticipated that this two-year journey would expand my horizons and position me as a future thought leader and researcher.

My personal tip For you:

Dive into the university's ecosystem right away. Don't procrastinate on setting up your accounts and monitor your emails closely. Get your documents in order and schedule appointments with the local bank, municipality, and foreigner's office before the semester starts. Doing this early will help you focus on your studies without unnecessary stress.

Good to know:

When you have questions or need assistance, head straight to the International Department and IT support. They excel in their roles, are quick to respond, and are super helpful. The International department will guide your settling-in process, while IT services will aid in setting up your accounts and downloading essential software.

That's what I particularly like about my course of studies:

I appreciate the well-rounded mix of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, class discussions, engaging case studies, and practical lab training. The course offers valuable opportunities for complementary activities, such as attending conferences or industry meetings. The hybrid mode of many lectures adds an extra layer of convenience to the learning experience.
