In late February, young researchers from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) presented their current projects and research findings to around 160 guests at the 12th Research Day. The program not only gave the audience insight into DIT’s research activities but also offered numerous opportunities for professional and personal exchange.
During the Science Slam, ten researchers each presented their work in four-minute slots, employing highly creative presentation styles. Ultimately, Julia Wallner from Campus Hutthurm impressed the expert jury with her talk on "Space Plastic Origami," winning the coveted rotating trophy—the Best Presentation Award.
Winners of the Best Poster Competition included Campus Grafenau with "Designing Digital Citizen Participation in Rural Municipalities to Suit All Generations," Andreas Ettner-Sitter with "3D Pancreatic Cancer Perfusion," and Edward Olivera Apaza with "LOC – Lens on Chips." Once again, the posters were designed according to the principle: "One image, one sentence—research at a glance!"
