Ask your Questions to our Student Ambassador Livia Manik

Hi, I’m Livia, 22 years old and a bachelor’s student in my 5th semester.

Do you have any questions about student life and the Bachelor International Management programme? I would be happy to share my experience with you and give you an insight into life as a DIT student. I am looking forward to hearing from you!

Why did I choose this study programme?

My love for international experience, as well as my interest in business and management, are the main drivers that make me choose International Management as my course. I chose to study IM at THD because it’s one of the first universities to offer International Management programme that is taught fully in English. This makes THD credible and trustworthy as it is one of the pioneers in this study program. It is also in the top list of CHE employability ratings for bachelor’s degree in business and it offers compulsory internship and study abroad semester, which make it altogether very attractive to me. All in all, I chose International Management for its comprehensive and high-quality curriculum, as well as its enriching international experience!

My personal tip For you:

Get out of your comfort zone! Meet new people, form long-lasting bonds, create unforgettable memories, and try out different things! It’s not every day that you get to interact with so many people from different backgrounds and cultures. Time flies really fast so make sure you live your best life here in Deggendorf!

Good to know:

For all non-Germans out there, make sure you learn and get to know about German culture before coming here! It will surely help a lot and make it easier for you to adapt here. Also, don’t forget to check your mailbox regularly to make sure you don’t miss out on any important paperwork that needs to be done!

That's what I particularly like about my course of studies:

It’s a very international course. Not only my peers, but also the lecturers come from different parts of the world! I especially like the compulsory exchange semester because it encourages me to explore other countries even further!

Why you should study at DIT:

DIT has high-quality study programmes and offers different leisure and cultural activities. It’s a very international campus and the university always tries to organise events to enrich the students’ life as well! The city is also very peaceful and relaxing and you’re surrounded by nature, so it’s a great place to live in.

That's why you should study this course of studies:

If you’re interested in business/management and wants to know how it works from the international aspect, go and apply for IM course! You’ll get to meet people from different countries and have interactive and engaging lessons here.

My best experience during my studies:

I had a 3-day study trip to Finsterau for one of my modules, Cross Cultural Management. It was really fun to study in an outside environment and to do different activities together. We learn a lot about our different cultures and it made all of us closer together. We understand each other more, and it opened our perspective about the world!
